Master Gardeners

About the Master Gardeners

The next Master Gardener training starts in January 2009.

Master Gardeners is made up of local volunteers who share their gardening knowledge and passion with each other and the community. They undergo an intensive 7-8 week training program and then take a minimum of 10 hours of on-going education each year to learn the newest techniques, resources and horticultural research. The Olympic Peninsula Master Gardeners organization presents a number of events and educational programs throughout the year.

Mission: To enhance and supplement the efforts of the Washington State University Master Gardener program by providing sound, research-based education and information on sustainable horticulture and gardening practices to the citizens of Clallam County and the State of Washington.
